Guess who is going to the Ukraine with us? That's right, Little Sy got his passport photos taken today and turned in his application so that he can go with us to get his big brother. He was pretty excited, and looking pretty fly in his shirt and tie -- very Justin Timberlake. We had such a great experience at the post office with the woman who processed his application. I wish I could say the same for all the people we have talked to this week about the out-of-state clearances, but unfortunately it has been quite rough. We need clearances from six different states, and as of today, we have them from only two states -- Indiana and Texas. We are still waiting on California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and the dreaded New York. Please pray that those will come this week. It has been very defeating to say the least. So, it was nice to have such an easy time applying for Sy's passport today. And great to see this smile -- I can't wait for the brothers to finally meet.
Ohhhhhh Look at HOW STINKIN CUTE he is!!! What a handsome little guy! Vlad is a lucky lucky big brother!! I can't wait to meet him and tell him that his Momma, Papa, and little brother are coming soon!!
ReplyDeleteHi there "Neighbor"! Thanks for posting on our blog - it's so exciting to have followers! I was reading about your paperchase for other state clearances. We never received clearances for two of the states we lived in, but our agency said we didn't need clearances from every state since we are doing a non-Hague country adoption. We'll be sending our homestudy to DCFS this week - hopefully we were told the correct info. But if it is true, maybe you don't need some of your clearances to move forward. Vlad is super cute the way!!
